La película muestra el viaje de Catherine Destivelle al País Dogón, en Mali, donde realizará espectaculares ascensos en escalada libre en solitario en los soleados acantilados de Bandiagara. Destivelle está acompañada en este viaje por un amigo escalador, Lucien Abbet. Una película de Pierre-Antoine Hiroz producida en 1987 por Paradoxe, en la que también aparecen Tidjani Koné, Ibrahim Dolo y los habitantes dogones de la escarpa de Bandiagara. La película ganó el premio Genziana D'argento a la mejor película de escalada libre en el Festival de Cine de Trento en 1987.
