Le redoutable K.O. Bouillon a tué à cours d'un combat de boxe le poulain de l'entraîneur Victor. Fortement éprouvé, Victor retourne dans le midi retrouver sa femme et Sylvette, sa fille adoptive. C'est là qu'il découvre en la personne de Bernard une graine de champion dont il assure l'entraînement en cachette. Hélas, lors du premier combat, Kid Bernard est battu par K.O. Bouillon. Pis, il devient aveugle. Mais la revanche n'est pas loin ainsi que l'amour de Sylvette.
